The Great Palace Mosaic Museum
Located behind Sultanahmet Mosque, this museum displays what are believed to be Byzantine palace mosaics from the 4th and 6th centuries.They show scenes with human figures, daily life in Byzantium, hunting incidents, landscapes and animal figures.

Kariye (Caria) Museum
This museum was built as the Church of St. Savior in Chora by Byzantine Emperor Justinian. It took its contemporary shape in the 11th century. Logotet Theodoros Metochites produced the frescoes and mosaics - one of the world's most important examples of early Byzantine pictorial art.

Rahmi M. Koc Industrial Museum

Sadberk Hanim Museum
Founded by the Vehbi Koc Foundation in 1980 in the historical Azaryan residence in Büyükdere, this is the first private museum in Turkey. The collection contains objects ranging from the first civilizations in Anatolia beginning in 6000 B.C. to the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods.

Yerebatan Cistern
The Yerebatan cistern, which was built by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century, was called the basilica cistern because the "trade basilica" stood on the ground above. It can contain up to 80,000 cubic meters of water, covers an area of 140 x 70 meters and is supported by 336 columns.

Air Force Museum
Open since 1985, this museum has 12,000 square meters of open area and 3,000 square meters of closed area. Many planes used in Turkish Air Force history are displayed in the open area, including wartime jets, other war and cargo planes, helicopters, anti-aircraft artillery, missiles and radar. In the closed area are many precious objects from Turkish air force history.

Military Museum
The Byzantine Church of St. Irene, which stands in the outer courtyard of Topkapi Palace, was used as an armory by the Janisseries right after the conquest. The first military museum was located in this building in the 19th century. When World War II began, the objects were carried to Nigde in Central Anatolia for security reasons, land in 1955, were placed in the gymnasium of the War Academy.
After the academy building was restored and a new museum constructed, in 1993 the museum took its present shape. Approximately 10,000 weapons and armors belonging to Turks and other nations are displayed in the museum. There are 17 different halls organized under the following categories: Weapons, Tents, Clothing, World War I, Republican Era, Canakkale Battles, War of Independence, Ataturk, and Martyrs. The Mehter band holds concerts there between 15.00 and 16.00 on the days when the museum is open to visitors.
